Steve Brady is where it all began... He started at The Cross River Country store, in Cross River N.Y. from 1970 to 1978, where Steve took on the Stihl Brand and became a dealer. He sold and serviced Stihl saws at this location until he closed the doors of his Country Store. In 1978, he relocated his growing family to the town of Hopewell Junction. On Warren Drive, he continued selling and servicing Stihl Chainsaws. His in-home repair and sales shop later became known as Steve Brady's Chainsaws. Quickly out growing their space, it became evident that it was time to expand. In 1988, Steve Brady's new site on Route 216 in Stormville was up and running, as Brady's Power Equipment Inc. After several years as the owner and operator, he was able to pass his dream on to his son. Tommy took over in 2009. Steve continued to play a huge role in the day to day details at Brady's Power Equipment. He was in charge of overseeing all shop functions. He managed all equipment pick up and deliveries. You could catch him each afternoon at his work bench sharpening chains. He gave the business 100% of everything he had to ensure success and customer satisfaction. On November 10, 2016 the Brady family had to say good bye to an amazing husband, father and role model.
"Never lend out your wife, your chainsaw or your truck... because none of them will ever come back the same." -Steve Brady
